Wedding & Events Coordinator

A picturesque resort set in a 100 acre private estate, Ingliston is close to Glasgow Airport and perfectly located in between Glasgow City Centre and Loch Lomond.

A family owned and managed business, Ingliston Estate includes an award-winning conference and wedding venue with three elegant suites, a boutique hotel, luxury lodges, Palomino’s restaurant and an Equestrian Centre, together with newly-launched RV and Motorhome Park, The Paddocks.

Due to expansion, including the recent opening of our exquisite new Grand Marquee, we are looking to add to our Events Team with two new permanent position(s) of Wedding & Events Co-ordinator; offering both Full and Part Time opportunities.

Because of the nature of the role, we are looking for candidates who can work flexible hours to accommodate wedding show rounds and events in the evening and at weekends.

Responsibilities include:

Responding to all incoming enquiries via phone and email in relation to events, weddings, special celebrations and functions

Preparing all event documentation including proposals, contracts, invoices and final details

Ensuring a high level of customer service is provided from initial enquiry through to the very end of the event

Increasing weddings and functions revenue by actively seeking new opportunities

Meeting agreed budgets and set targets

To carry out show rounds to potential bookers promoting and selling the hotel and its services

Effectively liaise with all venue departments to ensure set up and execution of events are as per our processes set

As a Wedding & Event Co-ordinator, the ideal candidates will:

Have previous experience working within a similar environment

Experienced of Microsoft packages and online systems

Experience in working with Rezlynx

Be confident working with rates and negotiating

Have the desire and drive to successfully increase revenue

Be able to build and maintain effective relationships

Have a warm and engaging personality

Be professionally presented

Have excellent communication skills

Have previous experience in hospitality, wedding and event sales

Be available for an immediate start – if possible

Due to location, a driving license would be beneficial
