Part Time/ Full Time Groom

We are looking for a Part Time or Full Time Groom to join our dedicated Stables Team at Ingliston Country Club.

  We are a small, passionate bunch who all work well together and call ourselves ‘Dream Team.’

We have three different type of livery that we provide at Ingliston which are Assisted livery, Upper DIY and DIY in total we have 69 horses that are stabled with us.

Groom Duties include: 

Mucking out stables and replacing bedding
Grooming horses
Clipping horses
Feeding horses
Turning horses out and bringing in
Rug Changing
Checking the general health of the horses and treating minor injuries
General yard duties such as sweeping the yard, checking fences, etc
Stable Tours

Candidate Requirements: 

Be willing and able to work outside in all weather conditions

Have a good general knowledge and experience of horse care and stable duties

Have an awareness of horse illnesses and equine first aid

Good customer service with livery clients and general public

Flexible to the horses’ needs
